Chimneys - 2015 and beyond

2015: Long live the European factory chimneys!

INTRODUCTION

1) 2015, European Industrial and Technical Heritage Year

In 2015, E-FAITH - the European industrial and technical heritage activist network - is running the program “2015, European Industrial and Technical Heritage Year” with the support of the Council of Europe and a relay in many countries in the context of the European Heritage Days.
The idea is double: 1) Allow activists from here and abroad to meet, enhance their actions, and build European projects together in the longer term, 2) recognize the strong symbolic, historic, and pleasantvalue of industrial heritage in the collective consciousness, to enable a better taking into account of heritage questions on the local and European scales.

2) Long live the European factory Chimneys!

The French association Le Non-Lieu, member of E-FAITH, is coordinating the « factory chimney » thematic steering group , and proposes all individual and institutional activists and enthusiasts to make themselves known and to participate in the 2015 festivities through the platform of a dedicated website online from March 2015.
