CREATIVE EUROPE

(under construction)

In October 19th 2013 the European Parliament agreed upon the 'Creative Europe Programme'. With a budget of €1.46 billion over the next seven years the programme should provide a boost for the cultural and creative sectors, including heritage.
After a good response to the March call for all Creative Europe funding, the following deadline was for Cooperation Projects. Applicants had to submit proposals to the Commission’s Executive Agency by 1st October 2014.

  • 'Cooperation Projects'

'Cooperation Projects account for 70% of the Creative Europe, Culture budget, supporting both 'Small' and 'Large' projects for up to four years.
Small Cooperation Projects:
3+ Partners from 3+ Countries : up to €200,000 (maximum 60% of the total project budget).
    Large Cooperation Projects:
6+ Partners from 6+ Countries : up to €2 million (maximum 50% of the total project budget).

When developing the project, applicants should be aware that there has been a shift from the previous objectives of European integration and intercultural dialogue, to:

Strengthening of the sector and capacity building
    Audience development
    New business models
    Digital projects

Please also note that Creative Europe has information desks in each European country, which can inform and help you with every aspect of the programme. They also do organise very useful information days and meetings. So get in touch with your national Creative Europe officers.
